This is an embarrassing one. I bought this jar of eggs (along with its companion, a jar of preserved eggs) from the artisan’s own stand at my very first Kensington Dolls House Festival. And I stupidly didn’t make a note of the maker’s name. It was in our first flush of buying, where I hadn’t got our database up to scratch. And so my plea is, to anyone who has any idea who might have made this lovely little jar: help! I would love to give the correct attribution. I vaguely remember the stand being about a third of the way up the central aisle of the main hall, on the left, as you face the back of the room.

I was thrilled to find this, though. Pickled eggs were something of a family treat when I was growing up, prepared by my dad ready for the festive season (Nick, sadly, has yet to acquire the taste for them), so it’s a bit of an in-joke.
