Provenance: Bought from the artist’s stand at the Kensington Dolls’ House Festival in September 2021

This charming little figurine by Newtonwood Miniatures shows a young couple walking together. Available in several different colourways, we bought it in blue – only a short while after we ourselves had got engaged. It was one of our first purchases in the miniatures world, at the Kensington Dolls House Festival in September 2021. For the moment we plan to display it in the Breakfast Room, but if that ends up being devoted to ‘higher end’ porcelain, this will sit equally well in Isabella’s Bedroom (she is, after all, betrothed herself) or perhaps the Housekeeper’s Parlour.
