These were a surprise. I had ordered brown brogues but due to those being out of stock Sylvia Rountree of The Dolls’ Cobbler very kindly sent these instead. I hadn’t ever imagined any man in the Quartermaine family wearing crocodile-leather shoes but perhaps Charles has a well-hidden flamboyant side. Beautifully made, this dinky pair of shoes has real laces and good solid soles.
