The miniature specimens of minerals and fossils at Wendy’s Miniatures, run by Wendy Smale, have been on my wishlist for a long time. This gorgeous framed ammonite is actually two separate very thin slices of genuine fossil fitted together: if you look closely, you can see the colour change between honey and darker brown in the middle of the object. Wendy listed it as part of her release for the Kensington Dolls House Festival Online Showcase in February 2022 and I snapped it up. The craftsmanship, choice of specimen and presentation are all absolutely perfect.
