This pair of beautiful mirrors are set with antique glass, which unfortunately I haven’t been able to show clearly in many of the images, as reflections from the camera ruined the effect. You’ll have to take it on trust that the glass gives a wonderfully patchy, cloudy quality, exactly like the mirrors you see in real stately homes. These were put online for the Kensington Dolls House Festival Online Showcase 2022, and it was a real thrill to buy our first Iriarte pieces for the collection. They were initially slated for the Music Room, alongside Alison Davies’s magnificent Chippendale-style mirror, but we’ve now reconsidered and pencilled them in for the Breakfast Room, among Meissen-style porcelain and (hopefully) reproductions of Rococo French painting.
