Provenance: Bought from the artist’s Etsy shop in 2021
This little hoop, with an embroidery in progress, is the creation of the ever-talented Nicola Mascall. The delicate hoop is made from plane wood, and Nicola wrote on her listing: ‘I stitched the little flower motif in pure silk floss and the fabric is pure silk also.’ It will be placed in the Schoolroom, as a sign of the Quartermaine girls’ excellent tuition in needlecraft.
