Provenance: Purchased directly from the artist’s stand at Miniatura at the NEC Birmingham in March 2022.

A hand-felted stag or deer head, mounted on a wooden shield for display. Vanessa has produced a number of these, each one subtly different, and I purchased four in one fell swoop at Miniatura. It is signed with initials ‘VA’, dated ’22’ and marked with edition number ’8’ on the back of the shield. I’m using these edition numbers to more easily distinguish between the four heads for the purposes of managing the collection.
