Georgie’s favourite kind of make-believe involves him being a knight or a dragoon, thundering into battle on his faithful steed (i.e. the rocking horse). This wooden sword is a key part of his costume. Felix probably feels slightly jealous, but despite his love of King Arthur considers himself a bit old for such dressing-up. In retrospect, I should have bought two swords, not just one: an oversight I shall have to correct next time I see Mini McGregor at a show.
