Initially, I thought that this tiny porcelain figure by Tricia Street was supposed to form part of a Four Continents series. I assumed that the man was supposed to represent Africa, but then how do we explain the animal with him, which I’m almost positive is a wolf? And what is the man holding in his arms? It looks almost like a bunch of flowers. These are puzzles which I’ll have to try and work out, as unfortunately I’m not aware of any catalogue of Tricia Street’s work – though please let me know if there is one!

It is an absolutely wonderful figure, on an even tinier scale than the other groups I have by Tricia. Like the rest of my Tricia Street porcelain to date, this comes from the collection of Barbara and Stan Dickinson, former owners of BKD Miniatures.
