Provenance: Purchased via eBay in March 2022.

This beautiful screen is by an unknown maker. I don’t know whether it’s an artisan piece or mass produced. Could it have been made from a kit? Any insights would be very welcome! Regardless of its parentage, I fell in love with the elegant arched silhouette. It folds neatly in three thanks to clever little hinges attached to the top and bottom corners of the panels – on the bottom, the little brass tacks double up as feet. A perfect addition to the household, perhaps destined for Charles and Elizabeth’s bath and dressing room.
