We’re inadvertently building up a small sub-collection of miniature dressing-table mirrors. This particular example caught by eye because of the artisan: the celebrated craftsman Gerald Crawford, perhaps best known for his collaboration with Winterthur Museum, whose furniture he replicated in miniature. Gerald’s larger pieces are too expensive for us at the moment, so it was a pleasure to spot this lovely little mirror. And besides, every bedroom needs a mirror, doesn’t it? The details are the winner here: look at the elegant turning of the side-supports, and the little ‘feet’ on the bottom.
