If you’re looking for a quill or a crayon in the miniature world, you’ll generally have plenty of choices. But what about that period that sits awkwardly between the two? At Quartermaine Hall, it’s likely that the family would use fountain pens when writing letters or dealing with business, but I hadn’t seen anything quite right so far. And then this gorgeous little piece by Danny Shotton popped up on eBay. It’s perfect. Unbelievably tiny, it even has a proper pierced metal nib. Of course, it was an absolute beggar to photograph.
