Provenance: Bought from the artist’s stand at Kensington Dolls’ House Festival in December 2023

This is now our third taxidermy or still life dome by Laura of Country Treasures and, as ever, the attention to detail is absolutely stunning. Here a long-tailed tit perches on its nest, surrounded by a plausible mini landscape of twigs and mosses. We’ll put this dome in the Parlour, alongside another of Laura’s mini masterpieces, showing a blue tit in a similar environment; her third dome, showing butterflies, has mysteriously migrated from the Parlour to Felix’s Bedroom.
