Hailing from Milan, Andrea Arrigoni studied scenography at university and later became a graphic designer, but he’s been fascinated by miniatures since a very young age. His studies in theatrical design inform his work: take a look here at the delightfully complex Maison Auber, a dolls’ house he exhibited at Miniaturitalia in 2018. Since that interview, Andrea has started to make and sell miniatures of his own, which have a dramatic flavour and beautiful finishes. Often utilising cutting-edge 3D printing technology, he creates object d’art, busts and sculptures which sit happily anywhere from the Baroque to the Neoclassical periods. I can’t wait to see what he does next.
