Maker of a fine copper-lined dry sink in our collection. Fortunately it is signed and dated 1988 on the underside, and this has enabled me to link the dry sink to two other pieces by the same artist: a primitive-style kitchen dresser with pull-out metal-lined bins; and a pie safe with pierced metal doors, both of which match this sink in execution and in the type of handles used. I presume they were all made as a set or series, though the dresser is dated 1990 and the pie safe, like this dry sink, 1988. However, I can’t find out anything else about the mysterious J Nazak and, if anyone has any information on him or her, I’d be really grateful if you could get in touch so that I can update our files.
