Embroiderer of an exquisite sampler in our collection. I don’t know whether she was a professional miniaturist or simply a talented amateur, as I haven’t been able to find out any more about her. The fact that the sampler bears a printed label on the back does, however, suggest that she sold her work, and I’d love to know more if anyone has any information to help us out.
