J Getzan

There must be shortcomings to marrying someone with the same initial, but Jason and Jacqueline Getzan turned it into a virtue, naming their firm ‘J Getzan Miniatures’. They’ve been active in the miniature world for many years, having first got into the hobby in 1976 and then going on, in 1977, to found the Ann Arbor Miniature Show. Best known for their metalwork, they are leading creators in miniature copperware, wrought iron pot stands and wine racks, elaborate chandeliers and canes. Their shop is, to my delight, still going strong, but their pieces are also available on the second-hand market. I’m not entirely sure whether they both work on all their products or whether they specialise. The copper pots I’ve been looking at so far are sold as by Jason, so I’ve kept to that in my cataloguing. If I’ve got it wrong, of course, please do let me know!
