Andrew Pearce is a graphic designer in his professional life, but for more than thirty years he has also been selling a fascinating variety of miniature figurines, toys and accessories under the trade name Newtonwood Miniatures. He paints them all by hand. In recent years, he has, understandably, cut back on his fairs, now exhibiting only at Kensington in order, in his own words, ‘to allow other interests to fill some of his time’.
Here are the works by Andrew in the Quartermaine Hall collection so far:
Staffordshire Dogs
The classic decoration of a Victorian house as envisaged by Newtonwood Miniatures (2021.041.1-2)
The Knight of the Cloth of Gold
One of a pair of noble knights who stand on Felix’s mantelpiece, by Newtonwood Miniatures (2021.042)
The Knight of the White Crescent
One of a pair of noble knights who stand on Felix’s mantelpiece, by Newtonwood Miniatures (2021.042)
