Patricia Steele began creating miniatures in 1983, first under the company name Lakeside Miniatures and, since her retirement, as Make It Miniature. Her interests lie in three very different but equally engaging areas: lavish miniature books, reproduced with robust pages that allowed the books to be leafed through, and even left lying open; vintage grocery packets and tins; and children’s rocking horses. She used to attend fairs back in the day, but has now moved fully online. Her miniatures are listed on the Make It Miniature Facebook page, with occasional listings on the Lakeside Miniatures eBay shop; but selling has now taken a back seat to her own miniature houses, on which she finally has time to work.
