Therese Bahl

(1928-2021)

A celebrated artist, Therese Bahl was based in Whitehall, Pittsburgh. She worked in a charming, slightly primitive folk-art style, painting blanket chests and other pieces of furniture. She was closely involved in the miniatures community, as a member of NAME (National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts) and as a Fellow and Board President (in 1992) of IGMA (International Guild of Miniature Artisans), the gold standard for any miniaturist. Her works are extremely sought after and often command high prices, but I would love to add more to our collection one day.
