On the third floor of the house, next door to the smaller Night Nursery, is the Day Nursery, where the children roam under Nanny’s watchful eye. Here there are toys and books and a dressing-up box, and all manner of things to keep the little ones occupied until they graduate to the greater demands of the Schoolroom next door.
