This is one of a set of three ceramic plates, all with the same painted edging design, showing a boy, a man and a woman respectively. Ana Felipe Royo, who is one of multiple talented artisans in her family, specialises in miniature ceramics, and so, with a reasonable level of confidence, I’ve given her name as the artist behind these plates.

Charming and yet with a definite folk-art vibe, they are the kind of ornaments that would be displayed with pride in the housekeeper’s cosy parlour.
