You can always rely on Erzsébet Bodzas of Hungarian Miniatures to add a little bit of extra glamour to a piece of furniture. This half-height bookcase is both beautiful and useful, with elegant curved sides and slender columns supporting the top and the centre shelf. It is signed and dated ‘Bodzas 2022’ on the underside. Eventually it will go in the Parlour, where it will hold the family’s current reading material and provide display space for some of their studio pottery.

The bookshelf in use, full of books by Cose di un altro mondo, Lauren Delaney and Ellie de Lacy, with a charming fish-shaped pitcher displayed on top
