To paraphrase Maria from The Sound of Music, I do like copper kettles. I’ve been trying to find the right shape and colour for ages, because I think, at the heart of the Quartermaines’ copper-filled kitchen, there should be a kettle resting on the stove. But this was the first time I found one with a spout and shape and handle that really all seemed to work beautifully together, and the quality seems to be gorgeous. Plus, it’s lovely to have our first piece of work by George Chapman, whose miniature metalwork I’ve admired online.
