Provenance: Purchased via eBay in January 2025

We bought this little figurine of a dog along with another, presumably by the same artisan, showing a fox. The plan is to put them together on the mantelpiece in the Smoking Room. As I explained in the entry for the fox, we don’t yet know who the maker is, but I’ve asked the eBay seller whether she can give me any more information.

Below: old enemies, the fox and the pointer will be displayed together. The pointer, as ever, is on the scent. The fox looks blissfully unconcerned.
